Michael CALLAHAN Obituary

Sadly Michael passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on the morning of Wednesday, June 5, 2024, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Phyllis for 58 years. A much-loved father of Robyn and Ross Jones (Invercargill), Peter and Trudy (Riverton), Ross and Mel (Oregon, USA), and Jill and Derek McConachie (Mokoreta). Doting Grandad and Mick of Katie, Nathan, Millie, Lachie, and Louie, Josh, Amy, and Amelia, Sam and Roo, Natalie, Luke, Lucus, TJ, Axl, Mischa and Marshall, Ben, Zoe, Maddison and Hazel, Chris, Kendrah, Savannah and Tobias, Breanna and Mikey, and the two youngest who kept Grandad young at heart, Max and Molly. Very loved Pa of Helen Terry. We would like to thank Southland Hospital ED and Medical Ward staff for their great care of Michael. The family has farewelled Michael privately but wishes to warmly invite anyone to join us and share memories on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Three Rivers Hotel, Wyndham, from 1.30pm. Dearly loved youngest son of the late Lenard and Isabel. Michael is a much-loved brother and brother-in-law of Norma Bartrum, Gay and Frank Claridge, Lyn, Judy and Greg Walter, Viv Scott, and Chris Larkham as well as his many nieces and nephews. Michael's passing follows that of his beloved 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
