Mervyn GUTSELL Obituary
GUTSELL, Mervyn Edward:Merv passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Southland Hospital, aged 75 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Sydney, much loved father and father-in-law of Brendan and Rob, Darryn and Sandy, Stefan and Rachel, loved Grandad of Keely and Brendan, Lucas, and Amyee; Hayden and Ryan. To Mervyns family, thinking of you all during this very sad time. Mervyn was so very brave and put up a good fight. I kept in contact and we all gathered together a few times with him for lunch and a catch up. Unfortunately he wasn't well enough to attend the last two. I went to school with Merv and remember him fondly...It was good to reconnect with him later. Please except my deepest sympathy. Our classmates will miss him at our gatherings.

Enjoyed working for many years with Merv and Syd at Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown. Always good fun to catch up and have a beer with. Rest in peace old fella xx

We went though school together at Tuatapere. His mum played cards with my mum. His father sang at the piano when my dad played. They were great people and they had a proud son in Mervyn. I am so sorry I didnt catch up with him in his last days. He was a good bloke. My condonlences to his family.
