Mervyn FREW Obituary
FREW, Mervyn Norman:
Marie, Kris, Brett and Dan and families would like to thank our amazing family, friends, staff, neighbours the Otapiri/Limehills community, local clubs and the farming businesses for their overwhelming outpouring of love and support through the tragic and sudden devastating loss of Mervyn. We are humbled by the personal visits from you with delicious food, hampers, gifts, beautiful flowers and arrangements, phone calls, text messages, emails and the beautiful words in the hundreds of cards received. These, we are sure, will all help us come to terms with being without him over time. Your continued support and comforting visits and calls are greatly appreciated. We are still finding it difficult to believe that he is gone. To the many many of you who came from far and wide and paid your respects and celebrated his life with us at the Service for him in Invercargill, thank you for the lovely words, hugs and tears you shared with us all. To the special friends who spoke and told stories and made us laugh and cry, we appreciate it very much. The very special poem written by Graeme Williams is a joy to possess, thank you Graeme. We'd also like to pass on our sincere thanks to the Emergency Services, the Doctor, and Sally and Ross and the team from the Winton Funeral Services who went the extra mile to help us through the process of dealing with our shock and grief at that time. As there are just far too many people for us to write to personally and too many addresses unknown, please accept this as a personal acknowledgement from us all.
