BUTLER,
Mervyn Everitt (Merv):
March 28, 1933 -
November 14, 2022

A hard-working family man, gardener, fisherman & cook extraordinaire. On Monday, November 14, 2022, peacefully passed at Dunstan Hospital, with Glenda and Gaye at his side. Loving and much-loved husband and friend to Joyce. Beloved father, father-in-law and friend of Glenda and David Rogers, Gaye and Brian Masters. Honoured Grandad, Great-grandad and friend of Kirsten and Julian, Culum and Shanla, Brandon, Kendall, Brodie, Jack, Elliet, Libby, Violet and Aria. Loved son of the late Phyllis and Stephen Butler. Loved brother and friend to the late Joyce and Baxter Flett, the late Ray and Helen Butler, the late Colin and Toss Butler, and their families. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Dunstan Hospital. Your empathy and care made Mervyn's passing so very special for Mervyn and the family. Thank you to the staff at Golden View Care Cromwell; for making a home where Mervyn and Joyce could finally be together again.
We can only lose what we have. We cannot lose what we are. Thank you, Merv, for being a part of what we are.
Never lost,
always remembered,
always loved.
At Merv's request, a private cremation has been held. Messages to 46 Blyth Street, Cromwell 9310.

Merv was like a grandad to me and we shared some very special memories, including the funniest bike stand to remind me that bikes can break bones!

Sending my deepest sympathies to his family.
