Kia ora Caldwell whanau. I’d just like to say that we enjoyed getting to know Merle while our son Raymond Munn and the possuming crew were living next door. She always had a smile on her face, and time to talk to them. I loved dropping in for a cuppa and a catch-up. Her garden always looked lovely. So glad I was able to see you Merle, when we were last in Edendale. We send our aroha to all the whanau. It won’t be the same next time when we visit Edendale.

To our dear Merle, I will never forget how welcome you made me feel when I arrived to live in Brydone Street. We shared many a laugh over a cuppa when Jasna and I popped in with Kadence and Stan and you gave me some great gardening tips. It's wonderful that we have remained friends and kept in touch over the years, and through you I have also been blessed to meet Lynley and truly value our friendship. You will be so sadly missed by all. Safe journey dear friend, Jock will be waiting. Roddy and I would like to pass on our heartfelt sympathies to all the family for your very sad loss. With Love and deepest Sympathy Roddy and Angela MacInnes and family.
