Loved father and father-in-law of Raquel Taylor, Tracey and James Dawson, Maggie and Joe Simmonds. Loved Grandad-Mel of Jasmin, Phoenix and Georgia. After a long, courageous battle surrounded by his family at Peacehaven. Mel took his fishing rod and headed off into the sunset, forever fishing. A service to celebrate Paddy's life will be held at The Southland Crematorium, on Tuesday, July 1, at 1.00pm. Donations to Hospice Southland can be made at Mel's service. So sorry to come across Mel's obituary notice just now. Worked with him for many years at DOC and always that smile that could light up a room. Great memories. Condolences to family. RIP Mel
