John Melville:
Of Queenstown, died suddenly on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Loved husband of Sylvia. Loved father and father-in-law of Nick and Liz (Dunedin), David (Melbourne), and grandad to Arnica and Remus. Loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle. A service
to celebrate Mel's life will be held at the Queenstown Memorial Hall, 1 Memorial
Street, Queenstown, on Friday September 23, at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Garden flowers only. Donations may be left at the service for Otago Rescue

Some photos from the 80's when the Gazzards were neighbours and became close friends. Mel was the Principal at Blenheim school where Sandee taught. We enjoyed some great days boating in the Marlborough Sounds and many very noisy, fun filled dinner parties. Our thoughts are with you all. Sandee, Bill and Nicholas.

I have fond and happy memories of Mel when he was Principal of Queenstown Primary School and I was his MOE Property Advisor. My condolences to Mel's family and friends.
