To the O'Rourke Whanau, my thoughts are with this family at this time. Miro was a very good friend of the Takitimu family especially when we lived in Tuatapere, Alton Valley and Rowallen. She was a very special friend of my Mum, Dot Takitimu.
Much love to all the Whanau.

O’ROURKE, Mary (Miro). — Our mother, mother-in-law and nana who is now reunited with her ‘Dear’.
“Korihi nga manu, Takiri mai te ata, Ka ao ka ao ka awatea.’’ (The bird song welcomed the dawn, and the first glimmer of light stretches over the earth, the first light, the increasing light, the full light of day.) Mum brought a warmth and joy to all those she encountered. Nothing on earth can make up for the loss of one who has loved you or for the loss of one you have loved.
