Robin FLOYD Obituary
Passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, aged 83. Much loved husband of Yunni and close friend to many. A service is to be held at the Andersons Bay Cemetery Chapel, 192 Tomahawk Road, Dunedin, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, starting at 11.30am. Messages may be sent c/- PO Box 2252, South Dunedin 9012. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St John.

Robin was my introduction to marine geophysics way back in 1974 when we worked together surveying some estuaries in South East Essex, England. I subsequently made a career out of some of the skills learnt. Later, about 20 years ago, we called in at his house outside Dunedin while touring New Zealand. We ended up staying a couple of days with Robin and Yunni who were wonderful hosts.

So sorry to hear he´s passed . I´d lost touch with him and had hoped to meet up when in New Zealand in 2026 . He was one of life´s true characters.
