Maria MARKS Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eugénia. Adored and treasured mother and mother-in-law of Ricardina and Luke, Gabriel and Zoe, Jacinta and Craig, Amália and Rufus and Miguel. Cherished BoBo to all her grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of José Manuel and Fernanda Reis, and Aunt of Albertino and Laura, and Great-Aunt to Davide (Oporto, Portugal). Eugénia was a pillar of strength, kindness, and compassion, leaving an incredible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. A phenomenal friend and generator of smiles. In accordance with Eugénia's wishes, a private memorial has been held. In lieu of flowers and cards, a donation to a place held close to Eugenia's heart - Te Anau Bird Sanctuary, would be warmly welcomed. Always have fond memories of Eugenia from when I was a kid going to her place in Dunedin with my parents and playing with the Marks kids. I always felt at home there. I was very sad to hear of her illness and passing. Sending all my love and support to the family at this time.

Deep condolences will always remember Eugenia as a happy energetic loving, generous woman who loved to dance. Sweet memories of the many Gemini parties in Otematata and the times in Mapua and Dunedin. Much love to all the family. Fly high dearest Eugenia and dance with the angels.
