Marguerite Weberg Obituary

Marguerite Maynard Weberg
Marguerite Maynard Weberg, 82, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025 at her home in Stamford surrounded by her family. Marguerite was born May 24, 1943 to the late Louis A. Maynard and Alice Demers Maynard of Darien, Connecticut. Marguerite grew up in Darien and attended Baker Elementary School and Middlesex Middle School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford in 1961. Upon graduation, Marguerite started her first job at Pitney Bowes as a filing clerk. In 1962, Marguerite married the love of her life Peter J. Weberg and they started their life in Stamford and shortly thereafter a family. After raising their three children, in 1978 Marguerite re-entered the workforce and enjoyed a successful career working at Fidelity Trust Company as an auditor, RE Capital Corporation, Zurich Reinsurance, TIG Reinsurance and Odyssey Reinsurance as a claims specialist where she retired in 2008.
Marguerite had a passion for gardening and always looked forward to the spring when she would plant her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved when her grandsons visited and spent time with her. In her younger years, Marguerite loved hosting parties with friends and family with cookouts, picnics and 4th of July celebrations. Known for her kind and loving spirit, Marguerite was the heart of her family. Thoughtful and kind, she never forgot a birthday, and always made sure birthday wishes were sent. She will be remembered not only for how she lived, but for how she made others feel: welcomed, uplifted and deeply loved. Marguerite's legacy of kindness, love, and spirit will continue to resonate with her family and friends. She will be missed, but her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Marguerite is survived by her three children, Peter Weberg, Jr. of Stamford, Kathleen Weberg and her husband Troy of Norwalk and Edward (Ted) Weberg and his wife Liz of Greenwich and three grandsons, Matthew Teplica and his wife Zully of Norwalk, Steven Teplica of Santa Clara, California and Spencer Weberg of Stamford, as well as three great-grandsons Leo, Alejandro and Mateo. Besides her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Peter J. Weberg in 2017 and also her brothers Edward Maynard, Louis Maynard and David Maynard.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the attentive in-home care provided by Joy Robertson of Angelic Elderly Care and her team Vanessa Lauture, Marie Flore Lauture and Marie Jean Charles, who lovingly cared for her over the past three years. Their kindness, support, and compassion filled Marguerite's days with comfort and love. The family would also like to thank Nancy Sharif and Erik Lynn of RVNA Health that helped with her care on the final step of her journey.
A Wake will be held at the Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Marguerite's memory to the Alzheimer's Association. To leave a message of condolence online you may visit the guestbook hosted on www.cognetta.com.

My deepest condolences go out to Marge family. We grew up together in Darien. She was my matron of honor, and I was in her wedding. We had many laughs and cries together. She was the sweetest person I have ever known.
