Margaret was faithful, true, kind, concerned, and loving Wife, Mother,Grandmother, and Mother-n-law, local dairy and fish-n-chip entrepreneur and friend to many. Margaret is at peace knowing she has returned to loved ones prior to us. We loved her much in this life, and made great memories, from Scottish dancing, old timey dancing, music, and her bands. Memorable family activities like gardening, fishing, boating, traveling, good meals prepared with love, and of course the "Birdy Dance". Well loved and well missed until we all meet again as family sealed for all time and eternity. Margaret would want us to remember her heart filled with joyful times, celebrating a life well lived knowing her children are well prepared including the rising generation full of family traditions and memories forever passed on from one generation to the next.
One of Margaret's many travels included visiting the historical site for "Rock of Ages" one of her many treasured hymns.
"Rock of Ages" is a Christian hymn written by Augustus M. Toplady, with music by Thomas Hastings. This very personal hymn uses pronouns such as I and me rather than we and our, focusing on individual salvation.
Legend says that Toplady wrote the hymn during a stormy incident in England. While traveling along the gorge in Burrington Combe, he was caught in a fierce storm and took shelter in a gap in the gorge, where he wrote the original lyrics. Some disagree on whether the event actually occurred; nevertheless, the rock is now marked with a plaque that reads: "Rock of Ages: This rock derives its name from the well known hymn written about 1762 by the Rev A M Toplady who was inspired whilst sheltering in this cleft during a storm."
The 1950 Latter-day Saint hymnal included a version of the hymn for women´s voices only, but in the 1985 hymnal it was changed to the standard four-part harmony for congregational use.

Aunty Margaret will always have a part of our hearts...we spent our honeymoon at Great Barrier Island Resort which she and Uncle Tubby ran, then when we lived in Nelson she took some of our grandchildren to a Christmas gathering where she lived. Sweethearts reunited again
