Lloyd NEILSON Obituary

Of Invercargill. Passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the age of 83 years, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Lynette*. Much loved father and father-in-law of Aaron and Mary, Kirsten and James Watson. Adored grandad of Eve and Ben, Leah and Stef, Elizabeth, Jack. Special great-grandad to Eden. Loved uncle of Reirani, and Jacqui* Taurima, Kim, and Brad Stuart, and their families. A service to celebrate Lloyd's life will be held at J Fraser and Sons' Chapel, corner of Esk and Doon Streets Invercargill on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10.30am, followed by the interment at Eastern Cemetery. Sad to hear of Lloyds passing.I remember the great times we had together during the 50s especially at Xmas & New Year while staying at the Municipal Camping Ground in Queenstown. Family dinners together at each others houses through the year in this same time period.Lloyd was my cousin, (my mum was Lloyds dad sister) Myself & Wife also my daughter Christina spent a most enjoyable couple of hours with Lloyd in March last year during our visit to Invercargill. So sad to hear of Lloyds passing but now with his Lynette at peace.
Lloyd was my cousin and best friend for many years and best man at our wedding.

Sincere condolences to all Neilson family.I knew Lloyd through Lyn,my dear golfing buddy and we would share an enjoyable glass or two from time to time and sort out the world's problems in our way of it. How appropriate he chose the same day as Tim to say farewell.
