Dearest Julia and family. I'm so very sorry to hear of Lester's passing. I have very fond memories of him in our young courting years. He was a very dear friend to both Christopher and me. You will all miss him very much.

I worked with Lester for 13 years at Cruickshank Pryde .we all had many a fun time together in our younger years !!

We progressed to squash and rugby for Old Boys Invercargill. In later years it was great to catch up at Cup Week and have the odd game of tennis. You have fought your last battle Lester. Condolences to the Smith family. Lester was a man of sharp intellect and few words. Lester had great taste in some of the finer things in life, particularly motor vehicles, but was equally at home in a Sport's Bar wearing his jandels, drinking a 12oz beer and having a punt on the tote. Lester will be missed by family and friends.
