Les passed away peacefully in the care of Albany House Rest Home, Gore, on Thursday, March 12, 2026; in his 92nd year. Dearly loved husband of Joan*, loved father and father-in-law of Gordon and Julie (Rolleston), Sharon (Sam) Piercy and Dean Knowles (Cromwell), Ashley* Johnston, Colleen and Martin Dye (NSW), Tony Johnston and Sarah (Gore), and grandfather of Jessica, Katelyn, Melissa, Mitchell, Ben, Shay, Byron, Makayla, Jack, Ruby, Cooper and a special companion of Meryl* Goble. A graveside service will be held to celebrate Les's life and to reunite him with Joan on Tuesday, March 17, at 1.00pm, at Charlton Park Cemetery, Gore. Messages to 3 Ruia Street, Gore 9710.
