A Life well lived. Laurie shared much of his time, knowledge, expertise, gave encouragement, advice and help to many in the Cycling fraternity. Great memories of days on Southland Tour with this smiling, handsome well dressed gentleman. Our condolences to all Laurie's family.

For my wonderful uncle with a huge heart who always helped everyone and your commitment & passion for cycling until your end. Your comb in your pocket and whitty personality always with a smile.

My amazing Uncle, you will be missed so much. You had a great sense of humour, when we came to see you when you put out a plate of biscuits you would always say you had just freshly made them.

So sad, my condolences to the tall family, i am old friends of Barry and Anetha plus met Laurie several times many years ago with one of his proteges Brent Adamson.

Our thoughts are with Laurie's family at this sad time. What an amazing man we are privileged to have known through the world of cycling. NZ cycling has benefitted from Laurie's passion and foresight.

Was such a pleasure knowing you, my dear Uncle and i'll be forever grateful, that you got me into the sport of cycling. Will be sadly missed by all that ever knew you. You had a heart of gold and a smile to go with it. Your efforts in the cycling community will be truly missed, as you always wanted to see the sport achieve. Another great invercargill icon and brother in law has passed Southland cycling in tears that was Laurie's life rest in peace mate trev&bev leahy ,and family Brisbane,forever in our thoughts.
