So sorry to hear of Laurie's passing, spent a day Christmas shopping with him a couple of years ago after meeting him at Centreplace, beautiful soul

Haere ra Laurie. You were an inspiring man with a zest for life and a positivity that was infectious. Your sage advice and guidance I really appreciated whenever we played bowls at Hamilton City Bowling Club. You will be remembered fondly by many bowlers including me. Arohanui friend.

I first met Laurie when he joined Les Mills Gym about 1990, I was 20 at the time. I asked him if he had any pass times and he said he was a bowler. I told him I had an old set at home to which he replied, bring them down, to the gym, and I show you how to use them. After a few sessions in the aerobics studio he then invited me to his Club to have a rollup. He was an amazing mentor to me and I still teach his techniques and etiquette to new members.
Condolences to the family, you have lost and amazing man and inspiring person to so many. So luck to have spent time with him

A man of fine standing, correct, present and forever looking after his fellow kinsmen, you will be forever remembered for your positive and infectious character that touched each and every soul that was victim to your sincerity, your caring nature and your enduring sense of service.
