Sincerest condolences to the Lawton Family on the passing of Kay. A beautiful woman, gentle and kind always, with that beautiful smile everyone else has mentioned. Always so gracious despite the numerous tough times she endured. The dedication to all who came under her wings through the shearing gangs and through community life in Otama was much admired and appreciated. My time in the area was 1975 to 2001 and she and John were a wonderful couple who gave sooo much yet many probably didn't realise just to what extent. It was low key but so valuable.
My kind regards to all the family. Mary Walker Clark's Beach, Pukekohe.

What a loving farewell you gave to Nanni K today. I am sorry that I was unable to attend the service. I have just watched the livestream - thank you doing the livestream as it allowed those who couldn't attend to say farewell. The boys carrying her out on their shoulders was extremely moving and a fitting tribute to an amazing woman. You will all have special memories of your time with her as will all who had the privilege of knowing her. Thoughts have been with you over this difficult and sad time. Love to you all.

I offer our condolences on behalf of the Whyte family if Otama. Our parents George and Joan Whyte (both gone now) both had the utmost respect and affection for both Kay and John and their quiet mahi in the community. What a blessing they both were. What a legacy they have left. Arohanui to the family as you farewell Kay.

We were introduced to Nanny Kay soon after we moved to Gore and there was an immediate connection. We shared our common love for God and Jesus and sang and prayed together. We felt loved by her and hope she felt loved by us too. We will miss her beautiful heart.
All our love to her family.
Elder and Sister Morley.
