1927 - 2022
Passed peacefully with loving family at her side, and in the loving care of Edith Cavell Lifecare and Village, Christchurch, on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Dearly loved wife of the late Bert, loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Jan, Patricia, Maree and Peter, Shonagh and Tom, and Karen. Loved and cherished Grandma to Tom, Ben and Kara and Great-Grandma to Lacey and Heath. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Brian and Val Watson, Robin and Bill Watson, and Shirley and Ray Hunter. A loved aunty to her nieces and nephews.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Kath will be held in Sacred Heart Church, 449 North Road, Invercargill, on Thursday, August 18, at 11.00am, followed by refreshments at Sacred Heart Hall. The funeral will conclude with the burial of Kath at the Eastern Cemetery. On behalf of the Clearwater family (previously North Rd ) I'm sorry to hear that you have lost your mother. When our family moved to Waikiwi in 1959 I recall that Kath had a special evening for mothers who were new to the Sacred Heart Parish. Mum told us how kind you mother had been in welcoming her. Also I remember selling Tiny Tatts raffle tickets to her every week at yiur home in Weka St, and she was always happy to buy tickets to support the Marist school. I recall Kath as being generous and kind, and I'm sure that as family you are very proud of her. May Kath rest in peace.

Sorry to hear Kath passed away this week. But 95 is a pretty good innings. I last saw Kath around 2012 when Christine and I stayed the night with Bert and Kath. Such hospitable people. Fond memories of staying at their home in Weka street when a child. Condolences to Jan, Patricia, Maree, Shonagh and families. Would be wonderful to connect with one of you. We are very sorry to hear of Kath's passing.
She was such a happy and warm person.
She was a good friend to our mother, especially working together in the Invercargill Health Department.
