Kahu McMURDO Obituary

After a five year tough battle Nan peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, surrounded by her family. Loved high school sweetheart and wife of Geoff McMurdo. Mum to Jenane and Tegan, and Mum-in-law to Dylan and Steve. Her joy and pride was sparked from her mokopuna Georgia, Harlan, Hapai, Nola, Roman, Oakley, Raegan and Jack. Nan was a loved daughter of the late Sandy, the late Jessie and Marj and daughter-in-law of the late Marjory and the late Adam. She was a loved big sister and sister- in-law, Aunty and dear friend. She was a Nan or whaea to many extended whânau. According to her wishes a private cremation has taken place, with a plan to have road trip to allow her whânau to farewell her. A special thanks to Dr Lucy Pemberton and the kind and respectful staff at Southland Hospital who cared for Nan. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
