A great Lady, we spent hours singing and dancing at the Wesley Revue in Upper Hutt. Dear June had a wonderful smile and loved life. Love Jenny Coventry (Mary-Jane Mitchell´s younger sister)

It is so long ago that I last saw June but in 1947 I met my bestie friend at Epuni School and we remained so until the end of 1952 when we left Epuni and went on to different Intermediate schools. After many Birthday parties and play visits our paths went different ways and even though we apparently stayed close to the Hutt Valley our paths never crossed again. Her name occasionally cropped up in my mind as I relived childhood memories and I hope her life has been as fulfilling as we planned when we were 10 year olds together. Go well my old friend, I´m sorry we did not meet up again but I have never forgotten the days after school of running down to Cambridge Terrace, over the wooden fence and across to Oxford Tce, head South a few houses and we were home for an after school snack that Janice´s Mum would have waiting for us.

Many memories of our time in Upper Hutt and Kapiti performing on stage and the wonderful hats and costumes June came up with.
Great times. Lots of fun doing different things with The Dibits ( do it before I'm too senile) Rest in Peace June
