John VARLEY

John VARLEY Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023, aged 75. Beloved father of Pauline, Pablo, Karl and Luke and their partners (past and present) Grandad to Rashauna, Hamish, Letitia, Adele, Sam, Jonno, Lavanya and Dontae, Great-grandad to Theo, brother to Esma, Joy and the late Bob, Mary and Pauline. The family wish to thank Central Otago Hospice and Aspiring Enliven for their support during his journey with cancer. In accordance with Johns wishes, a private cremation will be held, with a small "Ode to John" gathering at the Hawea Hotel on Friday August 25 2023 from 6pm. Gringo was my friend and mentor in the cowboy world, and we enjoyed our time spent travelling the county side going to different ranges and having a blast. I always looked for him and I now pass on what he taught me to the new generation of cowboy shooters coming through, I am sad that he has passed but I am proud to call him my friend.
