Loved son of the late Carl and Delia (Nee Gallagher) Shandley of Gisborne. Loving brother of the late Monica Sarwbrick and late Paul Shandley. Husband of the late Hine-Kino Haua (Ngati Porou-Te Aowera). Closely cherished father (and father-in-law) of the late Makere, late Micheal, late Paul, Hinemoa and Bruce McLelland-Gisborne, Rosina and Ariki-Gisborne, Fred and Josie-Invercargill, Terressa-Wallacetown, Connie and Shane-Hunterville, Phillip and Megan-Sydney, Huia and Adaam-Tolaga Bay, Aroha- Dunedin, and Riki and Swass-Sydney. Much loved Uncle of all his Haua nieces and nephews and Anne, Julie, and Daniel Swarbrick. Treasured Grandad to his many mokopuna and great-mokopuna. John will lay at 52 Saddler Road, Manutuke (Gisborne), from 4.00pm Friday, November 1. Whānau and friends are most welcome to pop in and see him before he leaves for his funeral service on the morning November 7. Poroporoaki will be held 5.30pm, Wednesday, November 6. John's funeral mass will be held at St Mary's Church, Campion Road on Thursday, November 7, at 11.00am. Messages to 52 Saddler Road, Manutuke 4072.
