A chance meeting at the Christchurch A & P Show in the early 1980's led to a lifelong friendship with Rae and his family. A meticulous breeder of Perendale sheep with the Hillcrest Stud, and a valued member of the Perendale Council, Rae bought foresight and vision for the breed, and had an eye for detail in the judging ring. A strong faith guided his life, and his parting will leave a huge hole in his families and local communities lives. A true friend who will be sorely missed by all. RIP mate.

We met Rae and Ros while touring Italy and our friendship grew through the years with our visit to the Mitchell´s home and Rae and Rosalyn´s extended visit to Texas. There was so much fun and laughter!
We loved exchanging pictures of our family and occasional zoom visits. Please know that we continue to to keep the family in our prayers.
