To Anne and the McCulloch family.
It was with much sadness and shock when Brent rang and told us of John,s passing. Our condolences to you and the extended McCulloch Families.
John will be remembered by many for his architectural ability but for Carole and myself John will be remembered for employing Brent as a Cargill High School student making models.
This led to Brent,s career in Architecture. With John,s mentoring John and Brent were involved in some really amazing projects up until both John and your retirement Anne from McCulloch Architects. Athough now under new ownership and management John,s name will always be synonymous with McCulloch Architects and the Architectural Heritage of Southland.
Sorry we will not be able to attend John,s Memorial Service but will certianly watch the live stream on Monday.
Our thoughts will be with you.

RIP John

We are so very very sorry Anne your John has had to leave you all behind . You were always alongside John with love, inspiring his work and dreams. Jethro and Amber are a wonderful testament to that and John so proud of them, loved telling you where they were and what they were doing.
John will always be hugely respected for his talent and vision. He could think years ahead of everyone in concept and design . Our Central Southland Squash Club built all those years ago is an example of this and one we will be eternally grateful for John´s work.
We know John will forever watch over you all, he will keep an eye on his projects and send you messages how to carry on for him.
Anne, Jethro, Amber and your family you can be so eternally proud he was yours .
Sending you Hugs and Love at this incredibly sad time.
From Pauline and Stewart Gillan , Lochiel.

I was pleased I had the opportunity to have a couple of days on the whitebait stand with John last year. It was good chance to chew the fat and recall all the good times we had over the last 40, or so years and the characters we have worked with during that time.

My thoughts are with all John's extended family during this difficult time, but the memories will live on forever.
