I send my condolescences to John's family and hope they are supported after the loss of an amazing person who will be well remembered for his incredible contribution to life. Rest peacefully after a very well lived life and we will remember you honourably and with love.

I've known John since school days we got on very well....we both started learning the bagpipes together at McGlashan. We enjoyed the odd catchup here in Queenstown. He'll be missed so much in our community.
Deepest sympathy

On behalf of the residents of the Rakaia apartment building in Christchurch I want to say how much we enjoyed having John as a friend and fellow resident.
John was also a valued member of our Body Corporate committee and as such showed his great knowledge and expertise in many areas. John will be sadly missed by all of us.
We extend our deepest sympathy and best wishes to John's family.
