To Lorraine & Whanau,
We were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of John. John was part of the Riverton Community and would always have time to help and assist those around him. More importantly, John always spoke about his whakapapa connections back to Rakiura (Stewart Island).
Matua John, ka ngaro matou I to katakata, katakata me nga korero.
(John we will miss your smile, humor, and stories).
Ka noho tonu koe I roto I o matou ngakau
(You will always be in our hearts).
Arohanui always

To The Ingram Family we were so sad to hear of John's passing. He was a great man and a wonderful neighbour . John was a great help to us and an inspiration when we converted our farm. We will always be grateful for his knowledge and kindness. RIP

Hello there Lorraine and family, like me Lorraine and John are old Rivertonians, although did not mingle with John that much to say we were buddies, but always a sad day when we lose one of our loyal inhabitants. Being in Bupa surprises me to say he wasn't very well, and at age 76 we are in the danger zone with what the word says. Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. Best wishes to you all, and may the peace and love of Christ be with you. Wayne Muntz...
