Unexpectedly at home on Monday, July 29, 2024. Loved son of the late Bruce and Ellen Dowling. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Moira* and Owen Lawrence, Bede* and Liz, Avon* and Pauline, Kevin* and Yvonne (Christchurch), Brian (Christchurch), Phillip*, and Annette and Ivan Stewart. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A good friend to Mark*, and Simon. A private farewell has been held. Sad to hear of John's passing. Fond memories of family BBQ's etc with the Dowling family as a very young girl....my sister and I spent the morning at John and Dee's before our mum and Carl Payne got married at All Saints back in the 80's. Condolences to his family, particularly his children Barry and Tania. Respectfully, Lis Owens, Tania Owens and Bev Payne.
