John COURNANE Obituary

On September 8, 2023, in the care of the amazing Calvary Team, from which he had recently retired, John passed away surrounded by love. So dearly loved by his partner Lou and his late wife Janeece. Dearly loved and treasured father, father-in-law, stepfather and friend of Leisa and Guy, Richard and Julie, Maria and Shane, the late Rachel, Teri, and Nicole and Brent. Fun, supportive and much loved Grandad of Mac and AJ; Georgia, Harry and Maggie; Kaius and Mason; Paige and Allie; and little Archie. A service for John will be held at St Mary's Basilica, Tyne Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, September 13 at 1.00pm, to be followed by a private cremation. John will be lying at our home, 84 Margaret Street, until his funeral. A Livestream Link to view the service will be available via John's tribute page at www.frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes In lieu of flowers, John's wish was for donations to The Hawthorndale Care Village https://thehawthorndale.co.nz/donate
