Peacefully at Gracedale Care, Auckland, on December 8, 2025. Dearly loved Sister of the New Zealand Dominican Sisters. Loved daughter of the late James and Mary Hardiman, cherished sister and sister-in-law of William and Margaret, Shelagh and Ian McRae, Francis Regis, Mary, Anthony and Olive (all deceased). Treasured aunt of all her nieces, nephews, cousins and loved friend of many.

Mass of Thanksgiving for Joan's life will be celebrated in St Dominic's Parish Church, Bolton Street, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland on Monday, December 15, at 11.00am. Following light refreshments we will take our dear Sister to Waikaraka Cemetery for her burial. A Vigil for Joan will be held in St Dominic's Church Blockhouse Bay on Sunday, December 14, at 3.00pm.
