Joan HALL-JONES Obituary
Passed away suddenly, surrounded by her three sons, at Southland Hospital, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, aged 86 years. Loved wife and best friend of the late Gerry. Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Jenny (Whanganui), David and Pui Mun (Wanaka), and Stephen (Dunedin). Loved Grandma of William and Francesca, Hugh, Amber and Miro'. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stroke Foundation Invercargill would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. A Memorial Service to celebrate Joan's life will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 1.30pm, in J Fraser and Son's Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. My family owned Arthur's Point Hotel in the late 60s early 70s. Joan and Gerry were very much part of our lives back then owing a crib up the hill. Bless you Joan and condolences to your family. From the Todd family

I worked with Mum at SBHS when she was on the PTA and so enjoyed her company . She had a wonderful sense of humour and brought such positivity and fun to our fundraising events.
It has been a privilege to have known her and to see the success of her sons.
