Joan FOWLER Obituary
Born in Bluff, March 22, 1943. Passed very peacefully at Waikiwi Gardens, Invercargill, on Monday, October 28, 2024, with her kids at her side. Loved daughter of the late Chrissie and Dougal Grant. Beloved wife of the late Tawhiri Fowler. Treasured mum and mum-in-law of Lisa and Michelle Fowler-Stevenson and Aaron Fowler. Cherished Nana Joan of Kali*, Christie, Phoebe and Amelia. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Noel and Maureen, Isla* and Eric Wiig*, Peter* and Ashley*, Bill* and Ivy* and Athol Grant*. Dearly loved Aunty Joan of all her nieces and nephews. Special Aunty to Erica Neilson. Lifelong friend/sister of Glenis Penny (nee Johnstone). A celebration of Joan's life will be held at Salvation Army, 29 Victoria Ave, Invercargill, 10.00am, Friday, November 1. Joan will be resting at Lisa and Michelle's home at 30 Derwent Street, Glengarry, Invercargill, where you are all welcome to visit. We were born two days apart you were the oldest.I have loads of memiories of a little blonde girl sleeping in our bunks at Palmers Street and three black heads in the others.Riding bikes around the Glory track our early lives where entwined in so many ways.TO Lisa Aaron And to all family members my thoughts are with you.Bob and Coral Asher
