DALLARD,
Joan Valmai:
Peacefully at Southland Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday 1 March 2018; aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Harold, loved mother and mother-in-law of Beverley and Colin Johnston (Katikati), Owen (deceased) and Dianne, a loving nana and great-nana of Tony, Melissa, Max, and Bella Valentine (USA), Karen, Jaya, Taine, and Richard Valentine (all of Auckland), Todd and Tania, Brooke, and Rick (Invercargill). A loved sister and sister-in-law of Graham and Bernie Sycamore, Glennis and Ian King, and the late Ron and Avis Sycamore, a loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Monday 5 March at 1.00pm, private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 321 Crinan Street, Invercargill.

Joan and Harold were great Price st neighbours. My earliest childhood memories are of regularly having morning tea with Joan in front of the coal range and listening to Dr Kildare on the radio
