Joan BLAIR Obituary
Joan Blair/Williams (nee Grant) passed away peacefully at Dunedin Hospital with family by her side on June 23, 2024, aged 90 years, eight months and 17 days. Dearly loved mother of Maurice, Pamela, Maxine, Bruce and Timothy Williams. Loved wife of Alan Williams (deceased) and Ray Blair (deceased). Adored by family. A dearly loved Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Aunty to her family. A well loved local identity and friend to many, many people of the Central Otago community and beyond. Dearly loved sister of Frances, Richard, Jack, Bob, Tom, Bill, and to her last surviving brothers Col and Sandy Grant of Coffs Harbour, Australia. A service to celebrate the life of this fabulous lady will be held at 3.00pm on Thursday, June 27 at the Dunstan Golf Club in Clyde. It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to Joan, our dearest step-mum and friend to the Blair Family. Joan slipped away peacefully in Dunedin Hospital on 23 June, 2024, at the ripe old age of 90 years. Joan was a very much loved wife to our Dad, Ray Blair, for 12 years, and cherished step mum to Ashley (deceased), Gillian and John, Lyn and Lindsay, Harvey and Dianne, along with all her nine step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. Joan opened her arms and welcomed us into her family with so much love, support, laughter and good times. Joan's farewell is to be held at the Dunstan Golf Club, Clyde, on Thursday 27 June at 3pm.
