Jillian BEADLE Obituary

Peacefully, with family, at Lakes District Hospital, Queenstown, on Friday, January 2, 2026, aged 87. Deeply loved wife of Peter* for 61 years, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Deborah, and Simon and Hayley. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Jocelyn* and Cliff* Broad, Judy and Graeme* Peters, Gretta and Owen Thomas, Owen* and Caroline* Beadle, Bruce* and Anne Beadle, Jean* and Nicol* Thomson, Beryl* and Harold* Holmes; and much loved aunt of her nieces and nephews. Loved step-grandmother and great-grandmother of Terrianne, Amit, Rohan and Krish; Heidi, Ros, Maisie and Adrian. Jill has come to the end of a wonderful life, enriched by music, art and family. Her legacy lives on through her family and the beautiful music she composed. Jill's family give heartfelt thanks to the Lakes District Hospital medical and nursing teams and to Hospice Southland for their exceptional care of Jill and support for her family. Messages to PO Box 96, Arrowtown 9351. No flowers please. Donations to Hospice Southland in Jill's name would be appreciated. A private family service has been held.

Thinking of you today Deborah and Simon as I read that Jill has passed away and also thinking of both of your beautiful talented parents. I have many wonderful memories of times I spent with them some in stillness.
I have just played my Cd of The Tavistock Suite while thinking of her - such a beautiful piece of music Jill composed and on the cover a painting by Peter. Their talent lives on. Love Margaret Low, Geraldine
