Sadly passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Christchurch Hospital; Aged 54 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Tony, loved and admired Mum of Luke, Cherished daughter of David and Christine Wharehinga, treasured sister and sister-in-law of Peter and Kelly Wharehinga, Lee* Wharehinga and Geoff Cross, Kerry Wharehinga and Jackie Smith, special aunty of Renae and Callen, Nicholas and Laura; Riana Cross, Daniel and Nerelle, and loved by her great nephews Lachie; and Reuben.

A service to celebrate Jan's life will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 2.00pm, in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha. Donations Rānui House would be appreciated and may be left at Jan's service. Jan's Funeral will be Livestreamed, with the link to this being available on Leishman's website. I have just read of Jans death. I haven´t seen her for years but enjoyed working with her at CYF in balclutha sharing study times together at Otakou and at other times. A fun person. So sad. My sympathies to you Tony and Luke. Joan Harrison ex CY F
