Had the good fortune to meet Jan in Prague. Cherished long time correspondence and checkers sparing partner. Her cheerful character and warmth will forever be missed. May loving memories ease your loss and bring you comfort.

Like many others, I only knew Jan online. She soon became one of my dearest cyberfriends, and one of my favorite checkers opponents. I will miss her!

Jan was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed by the checkers community -- and by those she knew outside of checkers as well. I am heartbroken to hear of her passing.

Jan, my most wonderful and loyal friend ever, I am going to miss you terribly. My heart is broken but I know we will meet again in heaven. The whole of the checker-playing world will miss you but your name will live as long as the game of checkers exists. RIP my dear friend. Lindus Edwards.

Kiwinurse0: So glad that Jan got to make the long trip to Europe which I know she enjoyed. I am thankful for the checker games that we played. I played her a few games and i wrote her a message telling her that she was one of best players on the site. From: Kingcowboy
