Condolences Greg and Family. Cliff was our coach at Pirates in the early 1980s and he had us all on the same page. Carrying blokes in a firemans lift up the Gabba at Turnbull Thomsen Park. Was the fittest I ever was. Caught up recently in the Northern. Good fun.

RIP Cliff

I am sorry to hear of cliffs passing. I am currently overseas but a couple of days before leaving had rugby discussions with Cliffy at the Northern. So pleased I did that as clearly that will not occur again. Loved his rugby . RIP. Brains

Sincere condolences to Greg and family. Cliff was a genuine good bugger. Always stopped for a yarn and always interested in what we were up to. We caught up with him driving the bus back from a gibston concert a few years ago. He insisted on detouring the bus on the way home to drop us of at our hotel and make all "the other buggers wait".
He will be sorely missed by all. RIP Cliff

My condolences to the family.
I will always remember cliffy winning a race in invercargill with a horse i trained for him, he was so excited. And the times he showed me around his farm and where the bar 21 was on the back road and the stories that went with it.
A lot of history and friendship gone. Rest in peace mate.

I am so sorry to read about the passing of your dear Dad. Cliff was such a remarkable person. I first met your dad when he was working for Wilson & Williams Electrical - I think he was an apprentice electrician there. We also had a lot of laughs when we worked together at the Wyndham Racecourse when he was helping out with the electrical jobs just before race day. Good times, lots of fun. RIP Cliff - You were such a kind man.
