Jimmy, a top man in so many ways. He ran as boss the Southland Electrical Power Board successfully for many years, with Stan Moreton as his 2IC. He was always at our table on Friday evenings at the Club. Enjoying a game of pool often as Stan or I as his pairs partner. His wife Francis was a beautiful lady and highly graceful, always a nice person. I met Jim's sons in several occasions and also great people. Jimmy played in my snooker team on Thursday nights several times and his comradeship was always a delight, many a laughs and smiles. Jimmy always spoke about the opportunity of the club or a business to have the gumption regarding the ability (of a horse that can bolt) otherwise be positioned accordingly with what may arrive to financial and business success including development of important relationships that are primarily the key to that success.

A tremendous man. RIP Jim

Fond memories of when Jim came on the board of Southland Enterprises, helping to steer us through some turbulent times with various Government departments including him co-presenting to a select committee hearing. Rest in Peace Jim, your work is done.
