Jim will always be remembered by me as my loving foster dad when I was a very confused young girl, he was my gentle gaint who was always calm and helped with my confusion I may not have seen him much over the years but have always loved him to pieces the best man in my whole life RIP XXX

The passing of another of the great legends of Happy Valley and Tui area. A real good bugger and always had the best yarns to listen too. A long time family friend and work cobber of the ole man. I remember lots of mad stories about the sawmill up the valley.. played there a lot as a kid in the weekends when up at the farm. So sorry that I will miss your send off J.O.
