Moe mai ra, Jack. From my earliest memories of you as Dad's apprentice, Mum's cousin, Grandad Sandy's great nephew, through to our recent conversations about your book, you were a connection to whanau and memories. Linda and I learned that your turn to do the dishes never would come but your 'big cousin' care for us would endure all our lives. You have gone to the ancestors now but memories of you remain. Arohanui ki te whanau pani. (Fraser, Harding, Cook whanau)

Maria, Paula, Bronwyn, Denise your partners and all the family - Jack's passing leaves a big hole in the universe...you'll sorely miss your Dad ... take solace in that he was loved and respected by many.

For me he was my Uncle Jack... now gone to make his mark in a heavenly place;
A man who didn't do things by halves, enthusiastic and larger than life;
A man who was sensitive but passionate about many things...
A man called Jackson who wrote poetry ...
A man I'm proud to call my Uncle Jack...So thank you for being my Uncle Jack, just Wish I could have got there to tell you in person one more time RIP
