I have known Isabel since we were 17 yrs old and started nursing training together with a very special group of ongoing friends we made from that very first day of meeting in the "Green Room". The group of us have continued to get together over 57 yrs on a regular basis ... farewell Isabel and say hi to Don

Isabel and I worked together at u3A for only a few months but felt I had a new friend. She was so organised and a pleasure to be around. My sympathy to her family and friends. You were blessed to have had Isabel in your lives.

I got to know Isabel when we were both student nurses in Dunedin. Since that time our lives inter twined as we both went about our nursing careers. As Nursing tutors then studying for our BA then Masters studies. We both interviewed for the same job at Southland Hospital once. and started laughing as it was supposed to be secret who was applying . We often saw the funny side of life working together. She was a great mate, a wonderful supportive friend and a huge support when the chips were down . Then in latter years we both nursed our men at home and reconnected on a support level for each other. She was one in a million and my heart felt sympathy goes out to you all, her wonderful supportive family. She was so proud of you all . And she will be so missed. Isabel did it her way. Farewell my dear friend. Be at peace now and pain free.
