Ilona´s brief illness and passing has been very touching for me.
She was a very good friend to my daughter Alice, Alice´s second Mum as Ilona would say.
What an amazing lady she must have been.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ilona once when Alice was working with her at Fern Fuel.
I know Alice is missing Ilona terribly.
So sad and unfair.
Sincere heartfelt Sympathy to Kelly, Samantha, Zoe and family.

Courageously, after a short illness, Mum passed away at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, aged 55 years. Gorgeous and adored Mum of Samantha and Zoe. Mum was the best mother to us. She showed us kindness, strength and was a devoted Mother above all else. We thank her for bringing us into adulthood and raising us to be the women we are. We sincerely thank the staff of Ward 8B for their dedication, care and compassion for our Mumma. A Memorial service for Mum will be held on her birthday Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 1.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill.
Everyone is welcome and we encourage everyone to wear their colours.
