Peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Hospice Southland. Loved husband and soulmate of Thelma. Loved father and father-in-law of Gavin and Kirsty, Stuart and Tania, and the late Alex. Loved Pop to Harrison, Todd, Hannah, Lachlan, and Callum. Loved brother and uncle. As per Hugh's wishes, a private service has been held. Hugh was a good man and a true neighbour: friendly, down to earth, and always up for a chat with Russell!! There were many laughs and yarns they shared over a whiskey!!
