Hugh COWIE Obituary

The family of the late Hugh Cowie, who died on November 19, 2025, wish to extend their thanks to all those that helped and gave their support at the time of the loss of a loved father, grandfather, uncle and friend. As a family we appreciated those who were able to visit Dad both in Cargill Rest Home Invercargill, and at Resthaven Gore. Many thanks to J Fraser and Sons, especially Dave Fraser, assisted by his staff, for providing Funeral Director duties and leading the service. Thank you to those who were asked to share their memories and meaningful tributes at the service. His funeral was a celebration of a life well lived. To those family and friends that travelled considerable distances to attend Dad's funeral thank you. It meant a lot. The flowers, baking, and food given were greatly appreciated. Messages of sympathy through either phone calls, cards, emails, or the J Fraser Tribute page, were a great comfort
and support to our family. Dad was laid to rest with Mum at the Waikawa Cemetery in the district they loved.
