Hone (Big John) passed away surrounded by friends and whãnau, on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Beloved Husband, Dad, Põua, Great-Grand-Põua and friend. Dad will lie in state at Southern Funeral Home until Wednesday. We are having a memorial service at the Mataura Presbyterian Church, Kana Street, on Friday, November 22, at 10.30am. Greetings
We were saddened to learn of John's passing.
The mighty totora has fallen. The gap he leaves behind will allow the seedlings to gain sunshine, flourish and fill the void. A wonderful gentle and kind man who was an asset to the Tuturau School and community.
