Sorry to read of Heather´s passing. Her obituary came up as I was looking online for information on Waikawa Valley pioneers. Heather will always be remembered as a keeper of our family history which she generously shared.

Our friendship started with Country Girls, where we all learnt great leadership and communication skills plus lots more. Heather was down the valley and I was "over the hill" from Mokoreta but met at odd times with our involvement in organisations round Southland. We met and have many friends round New Zealand through the Country Girls Clubs. Sympathy from Alma BLAIKIE, now Mosgiel.

Papatowai District & Community Association extend their sympathy to Heather's family. Heather was much valued for her work with the Association as Chairperson for a number of years and also her work in helping organize and participating at our yearly beach carnival. A lovely lady fondly remembered.

Sad to read of Heather's passing. I first met Heather when we both attended Southland Girls' High School and we remained friends. We shared many happy times by phone or letter. I will miss our contact but her memory remains with me. I will be with you all at the live stream on Monday. Heather is at peace now.
Kind regards Doreen Hudson - Timaru.
