Gwendolyn MARTIN Obituary

Can't believe when I read this in the newspaper, had to reread a couple of times. Sending sympathy and condolences to Martin/Turner families. We met at JHHS 1975-78 and had so much fun during those years with best friends Barbara W, Christine F, Karen M, and twins Debbie/Donna S, Julie D. Unfortunately we lost touch when we all started our working life and forged new friend connections. Still from time to time came into contact with your sister from SBS and your dear Mum at Southern Vets when I worked there, when she brought in her dog, and we would have a lovely catch up. Once again thinking of your family at this sad time and thinking back to those school days. Wish we could have all reconnected at some stage!! Sallyann Humphrey, Clyde.

Knew Gwen when she worked at Cargill Resthome she was always a lovely caring person.

Gwen was a much loved friend from High School. I have many fond memories of us navigating our teenage years together. Posters on our walls of David Cassidy, Bay City Rollers etc.... Sleepovers. We often played with Gwen and Priscilla as children. Their parents and family are friends on the family. Rest in peace Gwendolyn.

So many funny school memories of a friend. So sorry your school friends didn't get to reconnect. We were trying to. My deepest condolences to Gwen's family.

To Gwen's family I am so sorry to hear your mum/grandmother has passed away. I have very fond memories of Gwen working with her and taking our grandchildren places. She was a very kind compassionate person.

I remember Gwendolyn from Hawthorndale school. We sat next to each other one year.
Gwen had beautiful long hair, her Mum would always put beautiful ribbon and fancy hair clips in her hair.
So sad to read she has passed away far to early.
