Guy HARRIS Obituary

HARRIS, Guy William:
Of Alexandra. Passed peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Dunstan Hospital after a long battle; aged 77 years. Loved husband of Lynley, father of his three daughters, Lee Anne, Nardene and Janeen, and grandfather of Jessica and Jordan Jansen. Thank you to our families, friends and neighbours, and also the Alexandra Lions Club, for their care and friendship through this difficult time. Thanks must go to the staff at Dunstan Hospital for looking after Guy during his illness. A Memorial service for Guy will held at Affinity Funeral Home Chapel, 143A Centennial Avenue, Alexandra, at 1.00pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022. In lieu of flowers donations for Dunstan Hospital would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Livestreaming at

I thought of Guy today, and found his obituary. I had no idea he had passed away. Guy, you were a real hard case. And I have many memories of working with you in Dee Street.

My sincere condolences go out to Lynley and family for their loss of a great husband, and a friend to many.
