Grant was a great mate since the early days at Waverley Park Primary and later James Hargest. Fond memories of our 1st excursion out of Invercargill (to Brisbane) in the late 70's. He was known to go AWOL for several years at a time, whether to the bush, the sea or back to Australia, but was always good for a yarn when we did catch up. I'd suggest he;did well to get into his 60's given his passion for motorbikes, and being at the deep end of the flounder net. I won't miss the smacks over the knuckles with his steel ruler, but I will miss his great character and cheerful smile.

Hello Dixon family , so very sorry to read of Grant´s death on the internet. We are in Mexico at present with our daughters and new son-in- laws lovely family but it came as a shock about Grant. We have known him for such a long time and liked him a lot. Whatever was wrong we hope he did not suffer and had good care.
